Position Title: Quality Tech

Reports to: Quality Manager

Location: Statesville, NC

Shift: 1st Shift (Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understands, exemplifies, and drives safety and quality goals within the manufacturing plant

• Maintains quality documentation

• Able to identify defective products and follow the Non-Conforming Process

• Understands, executes, and can mentor others in communicating quality non-conformances and other related quality documentation

• Conducts and maintains process audits and product inspections to assure manufactured products and processes meet company specifications and/or standards

• Able to issue Corrective Actions or Quality Alerts to Manufacturing Departments

• Able to inspect incoming raw materials and follow product specifications and procedures

• Perform various testing using standard quality test equipment (i.e Ph, Viscosity, Torque, Weight, Caliper)

• Must be able to follow safety practices and company policies

• Must be able to work flexible hours as needed and on various shifts to support Manufacturing Departments

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Minimum of one year demonstrated experience in a Quality role or a minimum of one year experience in a Operator or Lead role in a manufacturing environment

• Must have computer skills (Microsoft Office)

• Knowledge of SAP, Six Sigma, or Problem Solving Tools a plus

SKILLS:

• Strong attention to detail

• Good oral and written communications skills

• Ability to accurately complete assignments in a timely manner

• Demonstrated understanding of basic mathematical functions, including fractions and ratios

• Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills to aid in root cause analysis

• Critical thinking abilities

• Intermediate computer skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach and grasp for varying periods of time during a consecutive 12-hour period
