Job summary

As an Electromechanical Engineer you will be part of the Engineering team of 8, responsible for management and execution of all projects related to manufacturing equipment and process for DYMO brand. You will be technically responsible for the assembling slitting and packaging process as well as scrap and reject control. Your responsibilities will also include participation in projects defined by the Engineering team and other departments (Quality Assurance, R&D, Sourcing), and on top of this - international market research and benchmarking concerning automation, assembling and packaging equipment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Works autonomously, within the available requirements and specifications, on assigned electro-mechanical, mechanical and automation projects.

  • Collaborates closely with other engineers in the team (automation, injection-molding, facility, coating and printing, testing, maintenance).

  • Works closely with external systems integrators, subcontractors and other departments at Newell Brands to find the best possible solution, including negotiations & discussions with all involved to find the optimal solution.

  • Has a crucial role in transforming an idea into a practical project to be carried out.

  • Ensures a smooth transfer during and after the handover of projects to the maintenance team. Provides the necessary training and support to the maintenance team. Remains supportive in case of technical problems.

  • Post-delivery continuous improvements and optimizations are part of the follow-up of the projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in industrial engineering or equivalent working experience

AutoCAD , tolerance setting and production preparation from drawing to piece, have no secrets for you

Fluent Dutch and English language

• Strong team player, open for sharing ideas and brain-storming to find solutions

• Thinking and working in an innovative and creative way, being able to think out-of-the-box.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of statistics or will to gain knowledge about this

• Knowledge of PLC integration

• A relevant and practical experience in working out technical projects would be an asset

• Excellent communication skills & ability to work independently

• Problem solver pur sang.

• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
