Position Title: Key Account Manager, Aplliances & Cookware

Location: Santiago, Chile

Reports to: Senior Sales Manager

Job summary:

The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for increasing sales revenues and expanding market share. The Key Account Manager is accountable for executing the plans necessary to ensure achievement of those strategic objectives established by the Country Manager relating to distribution, pricing and revenue goals. KAM must also field customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, and availability. The Key Account Manager will need to regularly conduct field visits in order to develop a relationship with key customers, better comprehend the local business environment, acquire a first-hand understanding of customer capabilities and monitor the competitive product offering available within the local markets. The Key Account Manager is in charge of identifying prospective customers and cultivating emerging business opportunities in an effort to broaden and deepen the distribution reach. A Key Account Manager develops a good working relationship with customers to enhance customer satisfaction and customer retention.

Essential Functions

  • Manages customer portfolio including assistant key accounts.

  • Responsible for negotiations with Key Customers of the portfolio of the Company.

  • Recommend channel strategies and implementing the associated plans.

  • Working closely with key customers to provide category and shopper insights to drive performance.

  • Recommend products to customers, based on customer's specific needs and perceived market opportunities.

  • Analyze sales data to identify customer performance and optimize sales opportunities.

  • Answer questions about products, prices, availability and credit terms.

  • Meet with customers to demonstrate and explain product features and attributes.

  • Identify prospective new customers.

  • Provide delivery information and coordinate the scheduling/shipment of sales orders to customers.

  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints.

  • Strong Customer Relationship.

  • Supervises POS.

  • Pre-Sales and Post-Sales process.

  • Contact established customers to solicit orders.

  • Successful management of projects and promotions with Marketing to achieve Company’s Goals.

  • Monitor the execution of planned trade and promotional programs.

Qualifications:

  • University degree required – Bachelor’s in Business Administration or related field

  • Working experience as a Key Account Manager

  • Good knowledge in the consumer market

  • Desirable experience with premium products

  • Strong Customer Relationship skills

  • Self-motivated and ambitious
