Job Summary:

The Sourcing Specialist will support the overall Global Sourcing project plan and deliverables and will be responsible for monitoring timelines and ensuring tasks are completed in advance of deadlines. The Sourcing Specialist will interact with a diverse group of business partners including Global Sourcing, Merchandising, Procurement & Inventory Management, Customs, Raw Materials and Master Data. In addition, the Sourcing Specialist will partner with vendors and suppliers throughout the world & must have the ability to clearly & concisely communicate the needs of the business. The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for organizing, managing, maintaining and communicating all production specifications requirements to employees and vendors throughout the organization along with assisting in preparation and completion of regulatory and compliance documents.

Essential Functions:

  • Initiate, follow up, review for sign off, and retain necessary compliance documentation as required by regulations and company policies, to and from vendors and customers.

  • Identify, communicate and schedule development process and specific requirements for each new and ongoing product in the NBTA product line.

  • Develop and validate packaging specifications with vendors and distribution center to maximize shipping efficiencies.

  • Manage and facilitate Special Make-Ups protocols, calendars and communication flow between vendor-suppliers and customers.

  • Develop, communicate and update Sourcing production tracking report for all Special Make-Ups projects.

  • Collaborate with Product Development team all samples needs to comply with customers’ requirements and trims completion for all channels distribution.

  • Manage payment for testing, audits and special materials. Includes vendor set up in payment system.

  • Coordinate licenses required for selling stuffed products in various states and countries.

  • Manage vendor/styles schedule and deadlines for audits and testing tasks. Collect, submit for review and maintain records file.

  • Manage communication with both domestic and international business partners. Monitor various data sources and coordinate the resolution of inquiries and concerns.

  • Support Sourcing Director by identifying and prioritizing incoming requests. Ensure requests are integrated in to the Sourcing and Supply Chain calendars and communicate timelines with stakeholders.

  • Support the Global Sourcing team with general administrative needs that enable the Sourcing calendar and deliverables.

  • Participate in sourcing and category management discussions, provide category expertise, and ensure ongoing linkages with the business.

  • Contribute to frequent team meetings, and provides regular communication to outline risks and opportunities for respective categories.

  • Create and maintain main care label records. Help to commutate updates within the organization and with label vendor.

Required Qualifications:

  • An Associate’s degree in Database Management or textile manufacturing or related field.

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain.

  • Advanced level of experience with MS Excel.

  • The ability to travel up to 10% of the time. Some travel may be international.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using SAP

  • A passion for the outdoors and outdoor industry.
