TITLE: Product Development Information Systems Coordinator

LOCATION : Rohnert Park, CA

REPORTS TO : IS Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Working primarily in the JTA database and Excel software, the Product Development IS Coordinator is responsible for inputting product into the database using the methods and standards as defined by the Company and plays a role in the streamlining, organizing, formatting and communicating product information in order to make the database accessible by employees throughout the organization. The Product Development IS Coordinator also supports the department by performing a variety of duties, effectively maintains department records and providing support the VP of Design and Product Development and will also assist other departments, as assigned by the Director of Design, in other data entry processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Organize and maintain the product development files, correspondence and other records. Updates and prepares various reports for management using Excel spreadsheets.

  • Input and manage product development database library of color, materials, features, styles, SKU’s, etc., for use by all departments to develop sales tools. Provide reports to Product Line Managers to check accuracy.

  • Analyze data into organized format used for sales reports.

  • Assign new style numbers and colors based on established criteria.

  • Assist Product Line Managers with projects such as translations of feature/benefits and data for presentations.

  • Create and manage the seasonal Salesman Sample Order spreadsheets.

  • Complete projects such as sales and margin reports.

  • Retain sole control to access to and revise information through the approved change management methods once product info is complete and locked.

  • Work with Product Line Managers on special projects as needed to achieve department goals.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Share in responsibility for sweeping, removing debris, and stacking corrugated and other materials safely to keep aisles clear and observe fire safety procedures.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.

  • The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

  • The ability to write routing reports and correspondence.

  • The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Managers and coworkers.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with MS Office Suite and SAP

  • Familiarity with common web and eCommerce concepts.

  • Familiarity with database systems.

  • A passion for Travel and Adventure.
