The Key Account Planner supports the revenue growth with specific high-volume wholesale customers through assortment selection, Tops-Down financial planning, Bottoms-Up color-level positioning, monthly open-to-buy analysis and continuous receipts analysis. The Key Account Planner will be responsible for developing assortments that segment various channels across the entire business ensuring financial success. In addition, the Key Account Manager will jointly develop the seasonal business strategy with the Wholesale Director and Manager and communicate product performance and customer purchasing trends to other areas of the Company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support Planning Manager in the development of seasonal business strategies for key customers that meet or exceed financial goals and customer expectations.
Partner with cross-functional partners to develop financial plans, product assortment, color-level plans and delivery timelines.
Conduct weekly business review detailing actual performance compared to plan and forecast highlighting areas of both success and concern.
Conduct monthly open-to-buy analysis to determine health of business and need for production manipulation in order to better serve customers reforecasting where necessary.
Communicate analysis to key stakeholders on a weekly, monthly, seasonal basis.
Work with Planning Manager to create key customer financial plan, forecasts and product assortments.
Work with Planning Manager to develop pre-season style forecasts as well as color, size and shipping profiles by channel.
Communicate effectively seasonal key customer strategies to cross-functional areas in order to focus the broader team towards a common goal.
Attend global sales meetings to receive product downloads and be fully versed in all seasonal products and related strategies.
Understand market data and competitor activities; analyze historical sales performance as well as utilize detailed product filters to edit the global product line in order to meet customer needs and maximize sales.
Manage cc counts for key customers and ensure targets are met.
Participate in seasonal meetings – presenting key categories/items, marketed styles, and top styles by team.
Manage basic operations within the Retail Systems for Outside Vendor.
Utilize planning tools in the creation of Size, Color and shipping profiles by channel.
Visit markets to understand competitive landscape; document pricing and product opportunities.
Analyze and prepare competitive market trend information and customer feedback

Expected Travel: Up to 10% of the time. Some travel may be international.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or Operations.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in retail planning, buying and merchandising.
The ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results.
Knowledge of levers to pull in order to drive GMROI, inventory turn, GM%, revenue, unit sales, etc.
A proven ability to use rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions; aware of the impact and implications of decisions on other components of the organization.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel including a high proficiency in in working with complicated MS Excel models, pivot tables, and macros and the ability to learn technical applications quickly.
The ability to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners, across markets, channels and geographies.
Comfortability dealing with ambiguity and can effectively cope with change.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong presentation, listening, verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of target customers and product trends.
Experience with Amazon.
Experience with MRP and/or SAP and Business Intelligence software.
