Aboutthe Procurement Center of Excellence:
The Newell Brands Procurement Center of Excellence is tasked with driving five keys areas across Newell Brands Procurement Spend. These five areas are: Project Management Office, Procurement Analytics, Procurement Execution (P2P), Supplier Development, and Capability Building. During this transformational time at Newell Brands, the COE is focused on developing process and structure to maximize the delivery of value to the Business. The COE serves as a talent pipeline/feeder for category teams, exposing members to a variety of categories and product lines, while building fundamental skills needed for career development opportunities.
As part of the Procurement Center of Excellence, the Procurement Analyst will be responsible for providing support for strategic procurement activities, including spend analysis, detailed savings analysis, RFI/P/Q development and execution, macro-economic analysis, among other things. The Procurement Analyst will lead significant amounts of information gathering, data consolidation, and data cleansing activities. In addition to detailed activities, the Procurement Analyst will be responsible for supporting the macro level analysis of procurement related activities at a companywide level.
Partnerswith members of the Procurement COE and Category Sourcing to definerequirements, scope analysis and reporting specifications, set reportingcadence, and establish data management plans.
Developa deep level of understanding of the data under analysis, focusing onensuring the right balance of accuracy and completeness with timelydelivery of required information.
Create,manage, and support RFI/P/Q execution including post-activity reportingand analysis
Activelyparticipate in project reviews and status updates, demonstrating a deeplevel of understanding around assigned projects
Navigateseamlessly throughout the organization during data gathering and analysisactivities, fostering relationships with partners throughout the businessto support data requirements
Quicklydevelops an understanding around business requirements and solutions toservice those business requirements
Bachelor'sdegree in supply chain, engineering, science, mathematics or related fieldrequired
Recent graduates or someone withsix (6) months to one (1) year of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain,Finance, Operations, or related fields (consumer products experiencepreferred)
Demonstrateseffective problem-solving and analytical skills
Demonstratesbasic business financial knowledge
Demonstratesexpertise in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel,PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power BI)
Demonstratesability to manage constructive and cooperative working relationships,often without introduction
Experienceleveraging analytical ability to drive and influence business decisions
Demonstratesexcellent written and verbal communication skills and presentationskills
Demonstratesself-confidence and integrity in challenging work environment
Experiencebuilding, implementing and running various market events (RFI, RFP &RFQ). Trade Extensions/Coupa Optimization Software experience preferredbut not required.
