The Manager-Financial Policies & Procedures will be responsible for the maintenance of all accounting and reporting written documentation and guidance that is issued for a multi-national, multi-currency public company. A principal responsibility will be to engage stakeholders across the company to understand current practices and to stay current in new and proposed regulations as well as best practices to be able to create or update content for documentation.


  • Maintaindatabase of written guidance on policy and procedures

  • Staycurrent on transactional and reporting processes within the company toidentify and propose solutions for efficiencies and practicality inapplying requirements

  • Identifyenhancements to reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate dataflows from subsystems and processes

  • Analyzenew accounting technical guidance (SEC and US GAAP) for applicability tofilings and assist with recommendations for implementation plans withdocumented memos

  • Assistin the adoption of new accounting pronouncements, including coordinationwith external auditors

  • Documentpositions on critical accounting areas and assumptions applied inaccounting memos

  • Maintainand update delegation of authority matrixes and ensure it is communicated

  • Assistwith review for approval over processes that require corporate financeapproval

  • Reviewcapex items raised to corporate for proper capitalization criteria,including capital versus operating lease distinctions

  • Traincompany personnel on new policies and procedures being issued

  • Coordinatewith other corporate departments and operating units on complianceinitiatives

  • Assistin providing reporting guidance to leadership in corporate departments andoperating units, especially as it relates to complex accounting matters

  • Continuallyevaluate work to ensure adherence to appropriate business controls to engenderproper application of Sarbanes-Oxley procedures

  • Collaboratewith internal and external auditors on document requests

  • Direct special projects as requested by managementincluding integration of newly acquired companies


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CPA strongly preferred

  • A minimum of 10 years accounting experience and familiarity with areas ofmulti-currency consolidations, financial reporting, SEC reporting, publicaccounting, public company experience required

  • Strongand extensive knowledge of US GAAP financial accounting standards includingFASB, EITF, SEC, and PCAOB pronouncements

  • Experience working in a consumer packaged goods (CPG), fast-movingconsumer goods (FMCG) and/or consumer durables industry strongly preferred

  • Strongdecision making and problem solving skills with an ability to prioritize

  • Proficientin Microsoft Office, Excel required

  • Priorexperience with Hyperion Financial Management, including FDM, Smartview andAdHoc reporting tools, preferred , SAPand Blackline experience stronglypreferred

  • Highlymotivated, self-starter with a commitment to quality and integrity

  • Stronginterpersonal skills with exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Abilityto multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required

  • Abilityto evaluate, develop and improve or establish financial policies and procedures

  • Abilityto work independently and manage processes and projects across multi-functionalgroups

  • Maintainorganized and detailed files documenting accounting issues, processes, andprocedures

  • Collaboratewith other finance department staff and other departments to support overallfinance department goals, initiatives and directives
