Position Title: Human Resources Generalist

Reports to: Human Resources Director

Location: N. Andover, MA

Job Summary: Leads activities and support of all functions to advance the Belcamp, MD and North Andover, MA Plant’s core values of safety, quality, delivery and Lean Transformation. Assist the functional managers in all aspects of the hiring of regular and temporary staffing, all aspects of the Human Resource function, including but not limited to payroll, investigations, training and employee relations.

Job Duties:

Provides effective leadership of the divisional Human Resources department as evidenced by:

Assisting in the development and communication of a clear vision/strategy for the Human Resources departments that are aligned with the Company vision and strategies.

Assisting in the establishment and accomplishment of objectives that are aligned with the overall Company strategies and objectives.

Assisting in the development and staffing of an appropriate organization with the skills required to be successful and behavior that supports the Company’s values.

Providing continuous performance feedback to personnel and developing training and education plans to enhance their capabilities and prepare them for future opportunities.

Providing appropriate recognition to individuals and teams for accomplishments.

Living the Company values daily.

Leads in the development and implementation of human resources policies, programs and services, including recruitment, selection, retention, legal compliance, employee benefits and compensation, employee relations, employment practices and procedures, employee communications and employee events for the plant facilities.

Assists the Company in successfully achieving Plan. Such assignment would include prudent expense management, budgeting, etc.

Assists with the monthly, quarterly and annual department metric and data reporting.

Assists with Environmental Health & Safety projects, to including, driving culture, safety programs and plant specific safety audits.

Responsible for leading the time and attendance programs/systems, and uploading payroll to our corporate office.

Leads administration of programs for environmental, health and safety, and loss prevention at the plant level.

Provides counsel, guidance, assistance and labor relations direction to assigned facilities in the administration, coordination and interpretation of the corporation and divisional labor relations policies and objectives.

Assist Plant Manager and Operations Team with plant specific functions, projects, requests, and reports.

Provides Human Resource back-up support for other Lifoam sites.

Poses no direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself, of others, or to property. Defined as a significant risk of substantial harm that cannot be eliminated or reduced to an acceptable level by reasonable accommodation.

Requires regular attendance to perform essential elements as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for work.

Performs such individual assignments as management may direct.

Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.

Other duties assigned by manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent experience.

Experience of at least 5-7 years of human resources generalist.

Comprehensive knowledge of human resources and management functions such as compensation, benefits, employee relations, affirmative action, etc.

Knowledge of human resources information systems

Interpersonal skills to work effectively with individuals both internally and externally

The ability to analyze problems and make independent judgments to initiate corrective action or resolution.

The ability to work with and maintain information of a highly confidential and sensitive nature.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Demonstrated ability to display diplomacy in day-to-day interactions with the commitment to task with awareness of urgency.

The ability to work independently and work as a value add to the divisional team function.

Preferred Qualifications:

PHR and/or SHCP

Kronos, PeopleSoft, and SharePoint experience

Experience in HR within manufacturing industry
