Newell Brands Sales Representative - Food and Hospitality in New York City, New York

Job Summary:

The Sales Representative is accountable for managing small sized accounts (or supporting Senior Sales Reps and/or Account Managers on larger accounts) in helping to deliver top line sales revenue and profitability for the CCS Division. Maximizes the availability of our products in the appropriate channels of distribution consistent with our brand strategy with an emphasis on superior new product execution. Utilizes leading edge data, information systems, and metrics around financial, brand, and shopper trends to maximize market share, sales, and profits through price optimization for Newell Brands and our customers. Builds customer relationships at the buyer level and where appropriate, facilitates connectivity in other functional areas.

  • Utilizes best in class insights to identify potential customer strategies as they relate to consumer purchase behavior and to maximize in-store and commercial opportunities

  • Applies understanding of product portfolio, brand positioning, brand vision and strategy to product sell-in and sell-through

  • Identifies category and conversion opportunities within customer offering

  • Delivers share gains by building robust account / end user conversion & usage expansion plans

  • Shares marketplace intelligence with our trade partners, where appropriate

  • Supports the delivery of the strategic priorities, positioning of key brands, and strategic propositions that will grow our brands and delight our customers and shoppers

  • Uses internal systems and resources, as well as external where necessary, to access sales numbers including customer, market and shopper data, category sales, and SKU level sales

  • Analyzes information and data provided by account regarding POS, turns, inventory, and GMROI (where applicable) to better manage their business and to be proactive with solutions and actions for SKU's, promotions or categories that are not performing to our customer's metrics

  • Bachelors/University degree in Business Administration

  • 0-2 years sales/customer service experience or NWL, peer company internship

  • Persuasive / Sales Ability / Negotiation Skills

  • Initiative & follow-through

  • Analytical skills and attention to details

  • Project management skills a plus

  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and exceptional drive for results

  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Local Travel via Personal Car (geography varies by market)
