Position Title: Sales Analyst

Reports to: Sales Director

Location: Minneapolis, Mn

Job Summary:

The Business Analyst supports assigned customer, categories and brands through providing data analysis and support on customers, merchandising, opportunity and operations. The position requires extensive sales analysis and will interact with many groups across the Food Division including Sales Planning & Supply Chain.

Job Duties:

Reporting

  • Run customized customer reports to support National Account Manager (NAM) in analyzing current business to include, weekly, monthly and Year To Date POS, Vendor Performance Scorecards Market Basket Data

  • Maintain standard reports to track business (Lost Sales, In-stock %, Fill rates etc.)

  • Diagnose success of promotional activities

Customer Service

  • Set up monthly forecast on item breakout sheet

  • Enter inventory quantities into Vendor Portal for each event

  • Resolve any order issues that arise

  • Research and resolve variances

  • Track orders and calculate remaining inventory for next event

  • Enter shipping data in Portal as needed

  • Provide customers and reps with product information

  • Look up and confirm shipping information for customers/reps

  • Set up new customers in NS as needed

Supply Chain

  • Forecasting – comparison of forecasts in customer system vs. actual orders, Work with internal demand planning team to assess item level forecasts

  • Monitor PO’s to ensure on-time delivery

Customer Account Support

  • Attend Monthly team meetings

  • Back-up for NAM as secondary contact to personnel such as Buyers, Buyer’s Assistants, Replenishment Managers, and Analysts etc.

  • Assist NAM as required, such as create New Item setup, Line Review Preparation etc.

Store Walks

  • Conduct regular store walks to:

  • Monitor Integrity of planogram

  • Investigate competitive pressures in store

  • Assess promotional execution

  • Participate in new store openings

  • Conduct regular competitive retailer store walks to:

  • Compile/maintain pricing information

  • Assess promotional activity

Other

  • Provide support to the Strategy team as needed

  • Sending backup info to customers

  • General help and administrative duties

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree

  • 0-2 years of sales/channel experience demonstrating steadily increasing responsibilities

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong negotiation skills and persuasive selling skills

  • Proven track record of results

  • Superior communication, presentation and people skills

  • Strong conflict management/composure skills

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain, Finance and Marketing a plus

  • Proficient in Windows Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint. SAP a plus

  • Experience with Retail Link is a plus
