Job Title: Injection Molding Mechanic

Location: Lumberton, NC

Reports To: Randy Godwin, Injection Molding Supervisor

Shift: 1st

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Under moderate supervision, works from written schedules and verbal instructions, drawing, trade practices or industrial technology to apply electronic, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic trade skills to assigned projects.

Trouble shoots and expedites repairs of essential machines and production equipment as needed. Performs changeovers on equipment as dictated by production schedules. Plans, lays out, estimates and orders materials, components, supplies and parts for projects, as needed.

Inspects equipment and systems for proper operation, safety, and preventive maintenance.

Sets up and operates all departmental machines and equipment, electronic or electrical testers, precision measuring instruments, hand or power tools, and special devices for systems as necessary to perform assigned work.

Assists in maintaining a safe and healthy condition on company property to achieve the best working environment possible for all employees and visitors.

Performs duties in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

Performs other assignments as requested or as business needs require.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED and the completion of an accredited apprenticeship in a recognized trade or technical school, with 3 to 7 years’ related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience (8 years’ experience in the absence of trade school education).
