Position Title: Financial Analyst

Location: Lima, Peru

Reports to: Finance Manager

The Financial Analyst provides business-critical analysis while also leading the financial reporting requirements. Primary responsibilities include production of reporting tools which will support the achievement of corporate goals and objectives including monthly financial reports, performance of trend analysis, profit and loss work and additional ad-hoc reporting. The Financial Analyst must act as a technical expert providing guidance and support to the business team.

Job Summary:

The Financial Analyst works closely with other members of the organization to identify and maximize opportunities to use information and technology to improve business processes. The Financial Analyst must develop a close understanding of the enterprise software and user needs, including workflow, program functions and technical requirements for specific applications. The Financial Analyst will serve as the functional expert on specific applications (e.g. HFM, SAP, Power BI, MS-Excel, MS-Access, MS SharePoint) and perform data queries to help track and analyze business unit performance and trends. By using available software packages, web-based tools and by developing user-friendly spreadsheets, the Financial Analyst will provide and facilitate reports for the business team.

The Financial Analyst is also responsible for the preparation of timely and insightful financial analysis to assist in evaluating performance against operating plans. Financial analysis includes business planning, operational expense analysis as well as analysis of sales and gross margins. The Financial Analyst will help interpret financial analysis in order to provide the management team with comprehensive accurate financial information to drive decision-making.

The Financial Analyst is responsible for reporting of weekly and monthly revenues to Finance Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business with special focus on sales.

  • Analyze SG&A

  • Responsible for loading the monthly financial forecast.

  • Generate Sales Reports (weekly and monthly) and consolidate monthly sales forecasts.

  • Consolidate weekly Cash Flow forecast and submits analysis of variances vs. actual.

  • Perform analysis of sales history to interpret data and diagnose emerging trends.

  • Provide various financial reports, including the monthly operating review.

  • Lead the preparation of the business unit’s semi-annual operating plan.

  • Control monthly expenses with budget owners and control over accounting expenses.

  • Compile and analyze financial reports and find discrepancies that require Finance Manager’s attention

  • Monitor Working Capital trends (Inventory, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable) and make recommendations for improvement.

  • Minimum Skills Required

  • Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum three years of professional experience. High level of proficiency in the use of software applications, with specific emphasis on spreadsheets database management.
