Position : Trade Marketing Manager - Safety & Security
Location: Lichfield (Staffordshire)
Reports to : SVP Sales and Marketing Intl.
For the growth of our Safety & Security Division, to be based in Lichfield (Staffordshire) we are looking to hire a Trade Marketing Manager.
This position is responsible for delivering compelling category growth solutions for our UK and European regions for retail and electrical distribution customers in alignment with overall business plans. The role has accountability to help maximize the distribution of existing products and deliver perfect launches of new products. This role will help drive commercialization through distribution, pricing, promotion and merchandising initiatives across all product categories for BRK, First Alert and Onelink Branded products. The role of this job is to execute trade strategies and build commercialization programs within a specific customer base and coordinate with Sales managers in the region as well as with the home office in the US.
Develop and execute account/channel pricing and distribution
Drive trade investment efficiency based on analysis of promotional effectiveness
Understands customer margin and pricing expectations
Develop channel/customer promotional pricing and pricing activity in line with programming requirements
Create Business and p&l analysis
Develop Specific customer plans and advertising programs
Develop and execute specific marketing and ad plans
Understands brand and customer priorities and uses the planning process to drive strategic alignment
Recommend sku assortment priorities and financial guidelines
Recommend assortment mix to maximize sales and profitability
Collaborate closely with All distributors and / or Rep teams on product and merchandising programs with customers
Participate and help drive analysis of product health and rationalization
Gathers competitive and marketplace intelligence
Execute within timelines and deliverables for the division
Collaborate with design team in development of Products, pop and sales materials
Customer database oversight and management
Participate in select Customer meetings as the credible category expert
Drive the execution of new item launch and development of training materials
Create and execute Trade show plans
Create the development of merchandising programs
Work closely with new product development teams on market/opportunity sizing
Recommend any new product innovation needs to penetrate new channels/customers
Degree with a major or minor in marketing
3 - 5 years marketing or channel experience
Experience in category management and channel execution
Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database programs - preferably Microsoft Office including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Familiarity with builders, contractors or facilities is a plus
Familiarity with ecommerce marketing and selling is a plus
