Position Title: Distribution Supervisor
Reports to: Distribution Supervisor II
Location: Kansas City, MO
Shift: Monday-Thursday 5:00p.m.- 3:30a.m.
Assists in the management of the Kansas City Distribution Center, as well as, supervision of shift operations to ensure productive, efficient, timely, and accurate performance. Responsible for the development and maintenance of processes that ensure operational efficiency, and provide superior service to Pure Fishing customers.
Directlysupervises and oversees the day-to-day operations of a group of coworkers,including seasonal workers as required, to ensure safe, efficient, andeffective use of personnel and equipment.
Maintainsappropriate records and prepares reports as necessary.
Develops,recommends, and implements improvements in current processes and systems tomaximize productivity and customer service.
Mayoversee the completion of projects including planning; delegation of duties,monitoring and reviewing progress and accuracy of work; evaluating results,etc.
Communicateson a regular basis with leads, warehouse staff, and management to ensureachievement of corporate and department objectives.
Develops,coaches, and mentors subordinate staff and utilizes corrective action asnecessary. Responsible for ensuring all coworkers are properly trainedregarding but not limited to ISO and safety policies.
Conductsperformance reviews; recommends salary adjustments; schedules and approvesovertime.
Estimatespersonnel needs and ensures adequate staffing in order to meet organizationaland departmental expectations.
Ensuresmaintenance of equipment and a safe, clean work environment.
Schedules orders within thesystem as required to ensure a smooth and efficient process flow.
Assists distributionmanager with additional responsibilities as identified by manager.
Other Duties as assigned.
HighSchool Diploma/GED required; some college preferred
Min3-5 years mgmt exp of 20+ coworkers, multiple teams, and hourly staff.
Experiencein leading high performance teams to improve process, drive quality, andimprove fiscal performance.
Changemanagement exp and demonstrated ability to effectively drive processimprovements.
Previouslogistics experience is preferred and helpful.
SAPand PC experience required.
Demonstratedleadership skills; ability to work independently.
