Position Title: Senior Manager, Data Integrity – CCS

Location: Huntersville, NC

Reports To: Senior Director, FP&A and Control


Data is at the heart of any successful finance function and the global, multi-brand complexity of the CCS business as a major division of Newell Brands means that we have significant opportunities to drive a set of systems solutions that will enable us to deliver the “single source of the financial truth”. With this goal, the Senior Manager of Data Integrity will be responsible for developing and executing the division’s financial systems strategy. This will include ensuring the reconciliation of the different systems, both across the division and with Newell’s corporate systems. Key to this will be helping manage changes to the Chart of Accounts and ensuring consistency across formats, reporting periods and scenarios. This person will also be responsible for systems training for the Finance function and also cross-functionally where systems overlap. Given the upcoming divestiture of the CCS division there will also be significant due diligence requirements and this role will have the responsibility for coordinating the necessary data pulls.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead an integrated financial systems solution which provides a single source of the financial truth, ensures coordination and reconciliation with the Newell Brands overall data views and helps position the division to have stand-alone financial reporting capabilities in the event of a divestiture

  • Design and help construct a reporting and analytical tool which helps align the SAP, Newell18 and NBPlan HFM systems currently in operation

  • Working in conjunction with the divisional and corporate finance teams, ensure financial mapping changes to both the Chart of Accounts and within the different systems are implemented and aligned across the reporting architecture

  • Serve as the primary contact point on financial systems related issues with the corporate BP&A and accounting teams, as well as external vendors (e.g. SC&H)

  • Lead training for divisional finance teams, ensuring compliance with all Newell Brands procedures

  • Work with the finance teams to develop standard analytical reports and a monthly reporting package which curtails the current needs for multiple manual system interactions by building relevant interfaces with other solutions

  • Working with the lead for Finance Transaction Support, provide necessary due diligence information for divestiture project and manage CCS elements of the Data Room

  • Develop reporting change management processes which helps facilitate both the current Newell situation and has the flexibility to incorporate post-divestiture situation and any interim TSA-type environment

  • Ensure the system solution incorporates all necessary controls to help guarantee best-in-class governance environment

  • Other ad-hoc duties as agreed with the Senior Director, FP&A and Control

Key Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in IT and/or finance with strong preference for a financial system/fintech background

  • 10+ years of IT system project development and leadership

  • Significant experience of SAP and Hyperion is strongly preferred

  • Strong understanding of core financial metrics and general accounting principles

  • Understanding of multi-manufacturing and location operations

  • Ability to work both cross-functionally and across different international cultures

  • Mergers & Acquisitions experience, preferably with international scope

  • Strong process improvement background

  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills

  • Action orientation and assertive style

  • Willingness to travel, both domestically and internationally

  • The successful person will have a demonstrated track record of unimpeachable integrity

  • Above all, this person must demonstrate and embrace a partnering approach to the role, understanding that IT and financial system projects are business solutions
