Position Title: Sr. Director, FP&A and Control - CCS Division

Location: Huntersville, NC

Reports to: Division CFO

Job Summary:

As the leader of the global FP&A and Control function for the CCS segment this person will be responsible for the consolidation, planning and analysis of the global business performance. Additionally, the role also includes the governance and risk management of the division’s financial and physical asset base, as well as the accounting and control requirements, both as a division of Newell Brands and then also on a standalone basis as the business moves towards a divestiture. Management reporting will be a key part of this role as this person will be responsible for developing and maintaining the “single source of the financial truth”. This position will also be integrally involved with the preparation of transaction diligence material and associated data requirements. Above and beyond these specific areas this person will be expected to be a leader within the finance team as we seek to enhance their capabilities and transition to a more commercially and operationally focused function that is integral to driving the performance of the CCS division.

Job Description:

  • Work with the Commercial, Operationaland International finance teams to analyze business performance, highlightareas of opportunity and remediation and then help prepare coordinated actionplans

  • Lead the cross-functional preparationof the CCS division’s forecasting and annual planning processes, coordinatingwith all other elements of the business to ensure an aligned result

  • Collaborate with the CCS Segment’s,regional and center led teams to coordinate a timely and accurate closing,budgeting & forecasting cycle. Additionally,liaise with Newell corporate BP&A and Accounting groups to ensure alignmentaround accounting and reporting policies

  • Develop management reportingcapabilities, ensuring cross-functional alignment and communication, with afocus on actionable and forward-looking information

  • Ensure best-in-class financialgovernance through the management of divisional accounting and controlfunctionality, including all Balance Sheet reconciliations and period endactivities.

  • Working with relevant Corporate M&Aand divisional resources, help in preparation of stand-alone carve-outfinancials for different divestiture scenarios.Liaise with divestiture project resources on reconciliation ofdivisional financial reporting with statutory carve-out financials

  • Due Diligence – working in conjunctionwith divestiture project resources, lead establishment and preparation of duediligence materials for both Data Room and stand-alone diligence requests

  • Ensure full internal control measuresare in place and complied with in accordance the guidelines of internal andexternal audit and more specifically, Sarbanes-Oxley.

  • Working with head of Data Integrity(direct report to this role), evaluate current systems and processes andrecommend appropriate value-added changes to enhance the monthly, closing,consolidation and forecast processes and enhance the reporting systemutilization.

  • Provide career development and coaching/mentoring,specifically to the FP&A and Control team but also across the wider CCSFinance team.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree in Accounting, Finance orEconomics. MBA/CPA Preferred

  • 15+ years ofexperience in finance/accounting, preferably in a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)environment.

  • Minimum of 10 years in a supervisory or management role

  • Exposure to both B2B and B2C businesses

  • Experience of working within global, multi-divisionaland complex organizations

  • Mergers & Acquisitions experience, preferably withinternational scope

  • Full understanding of P&L management and all cashflow and Balance Sheet implications, including a demonstrated ability to assessrisks and opportunities within complex business situations

  • Strong processimprovement background

  • Significant experienceHyperion is strongly preferred

  • Demonstratedleadership and communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to foster and develop strongfinance teams that collaborate with cross functional business teams to drivegrowth and profitability

  • Demonstrated record of solid career progression.
