Job Summary:

The Manager, Channel Marketing, for the Rubbermaid Commercial Products Business is responsible for delivering compelling category growth solutions for assigned channels and customers derived from brand business plans and deployed with our sales organization. The Manager has accountability to help maximize the distribution of existing products (Grow the Core) and deliver perfect launches of New Product Innovation (Expand for More), and drive commercialization innovation through distribution, pricing, shelf and merchandising initiatives across all product categories so that our brands/products are “Always On” at shelf and in store. The role of this job is to execute channel strategies and build commercialization programs within the Rubbermaid Commercial Products Business for the MRO National channel in the United States.

Essential Duties:

Works with Sr. Manager, Channel Marketing and team to serve as the performance expert for customer within responsibility including POS trends (Syndicated and Customer), post promotion analysis (ROI), optimal assortment (Category Growth), seasonal/promotional guidance (Key Drive Periods), overall business knowledge including gross sales, invoice sales, net sales and to deliver segment targets in the brand/category they support.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the sales teams to develop and execute channel strategies, programs, and promotions for the Rubbermaid Commercial Products business across assigned channels of distribution

  • Partner with key customers’ sales teams and leadership to gain mindshare, leverage relationships, and drive behavior to capitalize on RCP opportunities

  • Responsible for the P&L for their channel. Effectively manage pricing strategies to drive profitable growth.

  • Utilize best in class insights to identify potential customer strategies and develop customer focused monthly, quarterly, annual programs and promotions to implement with customer's sales team.

  • Monitor and track the competitors' brands and products, competitor market share, and RCP market share to understand trends and opportunities

  • Track current programs and initiatives to deliver timely communication on performance metrics. Utilize metrics to make improvements to current programs to maximize results.

  • Engage in S&OP process to provide input, working collaboratively with cross-functional partners to improve forecast accuracy

  • Analyzes communicates information and data provided by account regarding POS, turns, inventory, and GMROI (where applicable) to better manage their business and to be proactive with solutions and actions for SKU's, promotions or categories that are not

  • Provide input into Long Term Capacity Planning

  • Work closely with the Category Management teams to manage through SKU rationalization and disposition on E&O

  • Collaborates with Channel Management peers across the company to share and apply best practices

  • Actively manages professional development

  • Manages the line/catalog review preparation process, collaborating with Sales and Category Management. Works with Sales to drive pre-sell activity with customer, manage/drive expectations, and establish mutual goals for the meeting

  • Responsible for managing channel funds or customer program spending to provided channel budget

  • Analyzes the effectiveness of channel spend within area of responsibility

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (emphasis in business/marketing or related field), MBA or other advanced degree highly preferred

  • 7+ years of experience working with a leading CPG company (Channel Marketing, Trade Marketing, Brand Activation, Sales or related position)

  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)

  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams

  • Ability to think creatively, generate options, build consensus, and execute.

  • Comfort dealing with ambiguity and a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

  • Experience participating in organizations through change and embracing new ways of working while delivering outstanding business results. Experience in merger situations desirable.

  • Aptitude for both strategic thinking and detail-oriented operational management.

  • Up to 20% travel may be required
