The Sr.Manager – Finance and Supply Chain role will be a part of the Information Delivery team within the Global IT Group and will be focused on building Finance and Sales business intelligence solutions that support the growth agenda of the entire organization. As one of the largest consumer goods companies in the world, Newell relies heavily upon consolidated financials and supply chain data and analytics, and has a suite of existing tools supporting BI in this space. This role will be responsible for working with internal customers to derive value out of these existing solutions as well as building new solutions, partnering with internal development teams and outside consulting partners. This role will work closely with senior leaders in the organization to build program roadmaps, build and manage budgets, certify and manage vendor partners, create and execute training and change management plans, and ensure adoption across the enterprise.

Job Duties

  • Functions as the liaison with the finance and supply chainregarding reporting strategy. Engagesthe business to ensure that the BI vision /reporting solutions are properly communicated and adopted

  • Leads a team responsible for gathering requirements and documentingfunctionalspecifications- obtains approvals from the business, drives standards, utilizes a commondesign approach

  • Partners with leaders in Finance and Supply Chain to build BIroadmaps supporting those functions, including the building of businessescases, project plans, and budgets, and works to gain funding approval forthese efforts. Manages a team of people to these goals.

  • Aides the business in responding to key business questions,requiring detailed knowledge of available data, and requiring strongcapability on enterprise reporting tools (e.g., Hyperion, Power BI, SAPBEx, etc.).

  • Stays abreast of ongoing initiatives in the finance and supplychain organization and plans adaptations to BI solutions to align withchanging business needs

Qualifications

· 8+ years of proven experience leading enterprise-wide finance and supply chain BI projects on various platforms

· 5+ years in CPG or Retail highly preferred. Must be a understanding of how financials and supply chain data are used in this industry.

· 5+ years successfully leading a team of functional resources to deliver BI solutions. There will be multiple direct reports to this role.

· Top-tier communication skills. Experience working with VP-level and up. Must include time leading workshops and design sessions.

· For finance, experience working with P&Ls, general ledger, trial balances, chart of accounts, forecasts, budgets, and financials planning and consolidations systems.

· For supply chain, experience working with demand and supply plans, inventory, procurement, transportation, vendor, and carrier data.

· Full, proven understanding of SDLC for BI.

· Passion for data quality and best practices supporting data accuracy

· Experience building and executing training and change management programs

Preferred Qualifications

· Data visualization vendor (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Domo)

· SAP (both ECC and BW)

· SQL and Excel skills

Education

  • A four-year degree in a Finance/Accounting or Supply Chainpreferred. A technology or engineering degree with an emphasis and provenwork experience on Fin/SC would be considered.
