Position Title: Manager-Ecommerce Finance

Location: Hoboken, NJ

Reports to: Director – Ecommerce Finance

Job Summary:

This position provides the full scope of financial leadership (Global P&L) and analytic support to the Ecommerce function, including financial analysis, strategic planning, operational analytics and systems support. The individual will work closely with the Senior Executives, Business Leaders, Trade Marketing and Commercial teams, as well as will be the liaison with Corporate and Divisional Finance teams, to set financial strategies and goals. This individual has a central role in monitoring and driving Global Ecommerce income and profitability. This person is the leader and initiator of cost savings and income building activities. Through conduct and know-how, the Manager fosters respect for the Company among those people involved in the advancement of our business. Accuracy and thoroughness is required of this position to meet Company financial commitments and objectives. Coordination of the process and communication across the organization is critical. This position also requires ability to work with and influence senior leadership in a highly matrixed organization.

Job Duties:

  • Collaborates in the establishment of aggressive, but achievable profit objectives for the Ecommerce function. Leads and ensures completion of Strategy Plan, Annual plan and outlook processes and operates within them appropriately

  • Lead operations and financial analytics

  • Analyze channels and divisions globally and regionally, recommend profit improvement for business building plans

  • Builds market profitability through in-depth understanding of marketing spend, sales/trade spend, manufacturing costs, logistics and other drivers

  • Work closely with the cross regional/functional Ecommerce teams to ensure delivery of goals, contingency plans and other metrics

  • Challenges and assists the commercial teams to maximize profitability for Ecommerce to identify cost savings and understand financial implications of new initiatives and research/resolve variances. Recommend and execute with the Business Team profit improvement plans

  • Lead and support business growth by coordinating the business needs within Financial systems. This may also include the development of financial reporting tools, hurdle rates, new business analysis and models and/or exit strategies

  • Responsible for cost center budgeting, planning and reporting of budget variances

  • Prepare materials for Management presentations

  • Responsible for coaching and developing junior level members of the team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance or related area. MBA preferred

  • Minimum 3-5 years progressive experience in Financial Planning, budgeting and analysis

  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing direct reports

  • Ability to work well with others and as part of a team

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities

  • Exceptional analytical skills with a strong drive for results

  • Strong business and financial acumen and judgement; ability and aptitude to work with technical aspects of financial information systems

  • Initiates projects based on business diagnosis; works under minimal supervision and serves as business advisor

  • Working knowledge of SAP FI and CO modules, key bolt-ons & interfaces, and related interdependencies

  • Advanced Proficiency with Excel financial modeling skills

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting and financial reporting processes preferred
