PrimaryPurpose of Position:

The Director of Finance is responsible for managing and directing the finance function.

EssentialFunctions and Responsibilities:

  • Partners withbusiness unit leadership to provide financial leadership and guidance andto drive achievement of financial results

  • Develops andimplements best practices for the business unit regarding financialpolicies and procedures.

  • Oversees allfinancial functions including accounting, budget, forecasting/planning,operating plans, etc.

  • Overseesmanagement of the cost accounting system and provides analysis to thebusiness leaders as needed.

  • Oversees SarbanesOxley compliance functions within assigned business responsibility.

  • Presentsmanagement with financial reviews and updates of the business on a regularbasis.

  • Responsible for development and leadershipof employees

  • Establishes and maintains effective workrelationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; andmaintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary forthe satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.

  • Other duties as assigned

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

Experience/Knowledge

Experience in a multi-site manufacturing company with strong cost accounting skills

7-10 years job related experience overall

5 years of management level supervisory experience

Strong working knowledge of GAAP

Business knowledge that includes sales, distribution, purchasing, products, etc.

Certifications/Licenses/Registrations

CPA

PREFERREDEXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CPA

  • MBA

  • Experience using fully integratedERP system (SAP, Epicor) and HFM

TECHNICALROLE COMPETENCIES:

  • Excellent communication skills,both written and verbal

  • Ability to give presentations tosenior management and the organization

  • Demonstrated ability to run andmaintain effective teamwork environments

  • Ability to apply independentevaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modifications ofstandard company accounting techniques, procedures and criteria, and makerecommendations

  • Proficient with Excel, MicrosoftOffice

  • Ability to meet deadlines,concentrate and pay attention to detail

  • Decision making and problem-solvingskills: Must be able to identifyproblems using investigative processes to analyze and evaluate complexinformation from multiple sources to arrive at conclusions. Must be able to use intuition, logicalreasoning, and innovation to solve problems

  • Ability to make sound decisionswith fact-based data

  • Must be able to handle andsafeguard sensitive and proprietary information in a confidential manner

  • Must haveeffective coaching, mentioning, listening and leadership skills.

PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Sitting at workstationapproximately 85 percent of work time.Standing and walking approximately 15 percent of work time.

  • Must be able to travel 10-15percent of work time.

  • Ability to work overtime oroccasionally on weekends with short notice.

  • Typical office environment withshelves overhead and above work surfaces.
