Position Title: Key Account Manager - LIFOAM
Reports to: National Account Manager - Drug & Discount
Location: Greenville, SC
This position will be responsible for overseeing the development of customer and broker specific strategies and individual customer development. They will oversee the continual improvement of the organization’s customer relationship capabilities while managing the opportunities and risks associated with achieving the annual plan. They will evaluate and summarize key learnings, inputting them into future plans and work with management team to align strategies and activities with the overall business objectives. They will may act as the primary retailer and broker contact in those accounts assigned by the NAM and assist as needed in others to execute the day to day selling responsibilities associated such accounts.
To achieve orexceed assigned sales quota by brand and in total
To aggressivelysolicit orders from present and prospective new direct accounts and sub groupsfor our entire line of branded cards, accessories, and new products
To developcreative merchandising programs for all accounts and co-author specialmerchandising programs or new products that deliver the greatest volume andmeet profitability goals of the company.
To coverterritory in an effective and efficient manner ensuring proper quality andfrequency of account coverage
To deliverdistribution, shelving, merchandising and pricing results with excellence
To penetrate alllevels of assigned accounts through multiple departments (i.e. buying,logistics, service and replenishment)
To provide usefuland practical service to customers
To develop strongbusiness relationships at key accounts with personnel above the buyer level
To comply withall company policies, instructions, and directives for the fulfillment ofcompany objectives and for maximum profitable sales
To cooperate withall personnel in the Sales, Marketing and Customer Service department on theexecution of company programs
To aggressivelysell merchandising programs as directed
To track andresolve all sales-related customer deductions in a timely and efficient manner
To authorize“return” goods in accordance with company policy
To develop salesforecasts, by account and brand as directed by the manager
To operate withinall assigned selling expense and trade budgets
To develop andsubmit proposals for special trade programs at selected accounts as necessary
To ensure correctinvoicing at all accounts and follow up on past due payments as necessary
To maintainup-to-date customer record books and other records in accordance with companyinstructions
To be alert tocompetitive products and merchandising practices, and to keep, managementinformed concerning them
To prepare andsubmit call and expense reports as required
To submit anyspecial reports regarding the operation of the territory, acceptance ofproducts, or competitive conditions as may be requested, specifically AccountPOS information.
To recommend theaddition of new products and the modification or deletion of present productsto the line as appropriate
To attend andparticipate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade showsas directed

Performs suchindividual assignments as management may direct.
Establishes andmaintains, as stated above, effective working relationships within thedepartment, the corporation and the community; and maintains the professionalcompetence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance ofall assigned responsibilities.
A minimum ofthree to eight years` progressive experience in sales with direct management ofcross
functionalpersonnel, including sales representatives, sales analysts and logisticspersonnel.
GeneralMerchandise sales experience preferred.
In depthknowledge of multiple channels of trade preferably Drug and Discount
Experienceworking cross functionally in a corporate headquarter environment.
Experience withprinciples of category management and data-based conceptual selling.
Experience withtrade tools (e.g. MEI).
BS/BA in Business or related field
High level offinancial skills to effectively balance between sales and expenses to deliveroperating
High level ofself awareness and ability to react accordingly in various business/socialsituations.
High level ofunderstanding of the CPG industry, staying current on marketplace trends,technology and
High level ofcommunication skills, including effective presentation, verbal and listeningskills.
