Position Title: Industrial Supervisor

Location: Greenville , TN

Reports To: Primary & Industrial Manager

Job Summary:

This Industrial Supervisor will be accountable for supervising the shift activities of the Industrial Department production: slitting, stamping, stretching and cut to length. The goal is to obtain the most efficient use of equipment and employees.

Primary Functions

  • 45% Lead employees to maximize and assureadherence to quality and productivity standards; while maintaining a safe work environment through training and properhousekeeping

  • 45% Schedule minimalworkforce requirements to maintaindue date compliance and customer satisfaction. Continuously manage open orders for maximum efficiencies and inventory control

  • 5% Develop ideas for improved manners ofoperations, including tooling, methods, training, inspection,etc, and encourage employees’participation

  • 5% Utilize workforce efficiently while maintaining employee report and relations. Provide proper training in all employee job related functions including ISO procedures and documents, Specific job functions, computer systems, aswell as annual safety training and housekeeping. Collectand record qualitydata, procedures, and inspection plans.Develops standard operatingprocedures.

Secondary Functions

  • Assist Dept Managerwith employee grievances.

  • Work with otherDepts.; Primary to assureflow of materials, managed for customer requirements and inventory control; Sales to develop understanding of customer requirementswhile optimizing productivity and quality assurance; Quality Assurance to resolve all non-compliant material issues.

  • Continuously grow in product knowledge and industry activities and methods, to remain competitive and assure customer satisfaction.


  • High School diplomaor GED required. Associate degree, vocational or technicaltraining helpful

  • Minimum 5 years manufacturingexperience

  • Written and spokencommunication skills to clearlyand effectively present ideas and to documentactivities; to read and interpret written information; to influence others in positive ornegative circumstances;listen well; solve practical problems and to interpreta variety of forms of instructions

  • Ability to use calipers, micrometers, dialindicators and other precision measuring devices

  • Skills to workwith mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practicalsituations
