Position Title: Regional Sales Manager - Consumer & Commercial Solutions

Reports to: Country Sales Manager

Location: central Germany

Contract type: Permanent, full-time

Job Summary:

As a Regional Sales Manager you will represent MAPA Professionnel at distributor and enduser level, manage sales in close coordination with Country Sales Manager to ensure MAPA growth and position on German market. You will be part of the MAPA Professionnel sales team of eight people, whilst working independently in the region of central Germany.

Job Duties:

  • Promoting Mapa products and Mapa brand awareness in central Germany

  • Work at distributor level (30% of travel time): − Identify, qualify, train and permanently manage distributors in the region − Joint sales calls with distributor sales reps

  • Work at enduser level (70% of travel time): − Identify and acquire regional Key Accounts − Coordinate sales exclusively done by distributors to endusers − Handle product tests, site surveys, glove plans

  • Price negotiations both at enduser and distributor level

  • Preparation and execution of “regional” marketing activities in coordination with designated Trade Marketing Manager and Country Sales Manager

  • Monitoring of the competitors activities on the market.

  • Permanent contact with Product Management department, including input for product quality reviews and new products development

  • Regular use of the IT tools (CRM, CONCERTO, MS Outlook & Excel) for all business related activities and appointments

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completed commercial training

  • 5 years of sales experience; preferably in account management of large customers in the field of industry and consumer goods

  • Fluent in German and good English skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Very good analytical skills

  • Good understanding of key performance indicators and their implementation

  • Assertiveness and team spirit

  • Very good communication and negotiation skills

  • Very good assessment of the demand and the turnover of a product

  • Own initiative in sales, planning and advertising

  • Extraordinary competence in establishing and developing relationships with key customers
