PositionTitle: Operations Seasonal Team Lead

Reportsto: Operations Supervisor

Hours/Shift: All Shifts

Under minimal supervision, the Operations Seasonal Team Lead works with Operations Supervisor to ensure superior execution of the Distribution Center’s mission of providing on time, accurate and efficient delivery of merchandise to YCC customers. Acts as the primary point person on the floor for employees and ensures that they are following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and working in compliance with standards within the department, at the same time maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assignsand directs the workflow of employees within assigned warehouse functionalarea/department.

  • Provides training, coaching anddirection regarding departmental processes and procedures. Monitors new and veteran Employee’ acquiredskills and reports any continued lapse of established department goals and/oroverall performance to the manager for action. Monitors employee error trends.

  • Monitors productivity, accuracy andutilization of employees with direction and support from the manager. Provides updates and solutions to themanager. Updatesmanager and recommend solutions regarding issues on the floor impactingwarehousing functions and/or employees. Takes initiative and implementssolutions in the absence of the manager or in an emergency situation.

  • Tracks/monitors/maintains/reinforces daily, weekly and monthly performance goals and objectivesapproved and assigned by management.With the direction and support from the manager, facilitates theachievement of departments’ goals and objectives.

  • Providesexcellent on-time customer service to internal/external customers.Demonstrate anoverall positive and productive environment amongst employees and protects theintegrity of privileged information shared in confidence.

  • Analyzes warehouse processes andmake recommend for continuous improvement.Maintains methods and procedures documentation for enhancement, as wellas recommendations of “best practices”.

  • Workssafely in order to help preserve the safety and health of coworkers, guests andvisitors as well as their own. Follows all Company safety/accident policies andprocedures and adheres to all applicable safety laws and regulations. Notifies management promptly of any safetyhazards/violations or accidents/injuries.Participates in safety training. Properly uses and maintains PersonalProtective Equipment. Encourages employees to follow all safety procedures.

KeyQualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience

  • 2 years in a warehouse environmentand preferred 6 months in a lead role

  • Ability to read/write in theEnglish language

  • Basic arithmetic skills with strongattention to detail

  • Distribution/warehouse experiencepreferred

  • Ability to interact well with alllevels of employees

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to lead employees

  • Ability to analyze warehouseprocesses and make recommendations for improvement

  • Ability to work in a fast-pacedenvironment

  • Attentive to detail

  • Good planning and time managementskills

  • Demonstrated ability to deal withcomplexities and deadlines

  • Knowledge of office and logisticssoftware.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalentexperience

  • 2 years in a warehouse environmentand preferred 6 months in a lead role
