Job Summary:

Monitor import/export documentations, process and ensures compliance with US and foreign government laws and regulations. This role will act as an assistant to the Customs & Trade Compliance Manager with regards to imports and trade compliance

Job Duties:

  1. Monitor and implement the import/export process to meet customer and Pure Fishing objectives and requirements.

  2. Monitor and validate import and export documentation to meet US and Canada Customs regulations.

  3. Assist the Customs & Trade Compliance manager in the establishment of US Customs Harmonized Tariff Numbers for Pure Fishing products to insure proper classification and compliance.

  4. Work with logistics, distribution centers and other internal departments to ensure import/export transactions are handled correctly and efficiently.

  5. Set up import files and follow through from beginning to end.

  6. Verify pricing on products to ensure proper classifications are assigned.

  7. Generate shipment reports to Customs Brokers for proper declaration to U.S. and Canada Customs.

  8. Validate Customs declarations and ACH statements to ensure correct duty is assessed and proper payments to Customs.

  9. Assist the Customs & Trade Compliance Manager in auditing import/export entries to insure appropriate classification, valuation and payments are made within the laws that apply.

  10. Prepare and monitor status of any protests and post entry adjustments filed with Customs.

  11. Monitor any other Customs transactions not mentioned above, but are part of Pure Fishing’s import and export activities.

  12. Serves as the liaison between Pure Fishing and Pure Fishing’s Customs Broker(s).

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Associate Degree required with Bachelors degree preferred.

  2. Two (2) to Three (3) years import/export experience preferred.

  3. Proficient computer skills required in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office. SAP experience preferred.
