Position Title: Production Manager - Safety & Security Division

Reports to: Operations Manager

Location: Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico

Job Summary:

The Production Manager will be responsible for directing and coordinating production activities in all shifts, in order to comply with the volume, quality, cost requirements and safety standards; supervises the productivity of operational personnel, participates in the launch of manufacturing programs and coordinates the solution of production problems with the service areas of the plant.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for the execution of the manufacturing calendar based on production control plans, ensuring that all areas of internal control work to achieve quality and efficiency goals.

  • Responsible for the proper application of production methods and standards, adhering to safety programs and quality system.

  • Plan and determine the organizational structure, relationship functions and authority of each subordinate.

  • Responsible for establishing and controlling everything related to inventory control on the production floor (WIP).

  • Responsible for the staff in charge of complying with the established policies and procedures.

  • Ensures that all the information generated in the production department is distributed and reported on time.

  • Lead activities related to continuous improvement, ensuring that all personnel are involved.

  • Maintains an updated professional development and ensures the same for his subordinates.

  • Ensure the effectiveness of the quality management system and the availability of the resources necessary to achieve it.

  • Conduct in accordance with the guidelines of the quality policy and ensure that it is communicated and understood at all levels.

  • Define quality objectives, communicate them to all applicable levels and actively participate in achieving them.

  • Actively participates in the 5S Program, which is a critical objective of the business, ensuring compliance with the program's regulations and carrying out the activities required as Auditor, Coordinator, Leader or member of the Committee.

  • Develop the work in a safe, efficient and ethical manner.

  • Develops other activities assigned by management to support the operations of the company.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Engineering /Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 of experience in the area

  • 3-5 years minimum experience in a management position

  • Computer Software Skills (MS Office, SAP)

  • Bilingual English/Spanish (desirable)
