Position Title: Cost Accounting Manager
Location: Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico
Reports to: Plant Controller
Cost Accountant Manager role is responsible to maintain and control job cost by collecting and recording direct costs (materials, labor and OH) for Juarez Plants and EPDC, responsible for month end close activities related to Cost Accounting based on Corporate deadline calendar. Assist to prepare plan budget and forecast, as well prepare financial analysis report comparison vs actual related to manufacturing variances, inventory and expenses. Responsible for maintaining control on capital expenditures and ensure that transactions comply with Corporate Capital Investment Policy for Juarez Plants and EPDC.
Coordinates product cost process including calculating, reviewing and analyzing machine and labor hours, overhead costs, production rates, raw material costs and manufacturing process changes.
Perform month-end accounting activities such as closeout by ensuring all material, labor and Overhead expenses are recorded, reconciling inventory and related reserve balances to the general ledger.
Analyzes actual manufacturing variance expenses and prepares periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
Develop and maintain standard costs of finished goods and production components in SAP.
Prepare monthly DC expense report versus budget and work with the DC team to ensure all expenses are recorded in the correct period.
Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle count.
Generate PPV reports and analyze findings.
Prepare cost submission report for custom requirements and reconcile inventory balance in customs database.
Track company expenditures for fixed assets in comparison to the capital budget and management authorizations.
Assisting in prepare annual plan Budget and quarterly forecast.
Assist in developing and documenting policies and procedures, including system requirements and internal controls to comply with SOX requirements, and submit in a monthly basis to corporate the audits results.
Actively participates in the 5S Program, which is a critical business objective, ensuring compliance with the program regulations and carrying out the activities that are required as Auditor, Coordinator, Leader or member of the committee.
Performs work assignment in a safe, efficient, and ethical manner.
Develops other activities assigned by management to support business operations.
Ensure the effectiveness of the quality management system and the availability of the resources necessary to achieve it.
Conduct in accordance with the guidelines of the quality policy and ensure that it is communicated and understood at all levels.
Define quality objectives, communicate them to all applicable levels and actively participate in achieving them.
Bachelor Degree or 8-10 years’ experience in cost accounting/ finance
5-7 years’ experience in finance a supervisor position.
Computer knowledge (MS Office, Windows, RPS, etc.).
Positive attitude for teamwork and good communication with department X
Bilingual English / Spanish (reading, writing and speaking).
3 years of experience in SAP
