Job Title : Sr Financial Analyst – Beverage Supply Chain

Location : Chicago, IL

Reports To : Manager, Beverage Supply Chain

Summary:

The Sr Financial Analyst – Beverage Supply Chain will support all North American Supply Chain Finance initiatives for Newell Brands’ Beverage business including the Contigo™ and Bubba™ brands. The core Supply Chain functions include Procurement, Sourcing, Distribution, Warehousing, and Transportation. The key responsibilities include supporting Month End Close, Financial Forecasting, Product Costing, Productivity Initiatives, and Strategic Projects.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead the month-end close accounting process including posting journalentries, completing account reconciliations, and maintaining an effectiveinternal control environment

  • Use accounting principles and knowledge of internal controls toprovide objective, timely, and accurate financial information

  • Analyze monthly results compared to Prior Year, Annual Budget, andLatest Forecast to understand business drivers and communicate findings toBeverage Sr Leadership

  • Coordinate with various cross-functional partner to create FinancialForecasts and communicate balance of year risks and opportunities

  • Support creation and annual updates of product Standard Costs

  • Support the execution and tracking of Productivity cost savinginitiatives including Procurement contact negotiations, Warehouse footprintreviews, and Labor spend optimization

  • Perform varied ad hoc analyses on the business across stated strategicpriorities as business needs arise

  • Undergraduate Degree in Accounting, Finance orEconomics

  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience infinance/accounting

  • Experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) environmentpreferred

  • Exhibits strong personal accountability & attention to detail

  • Ability to connect the bigger picture to day to dayoperations of the organization

  • Ability to learn new financial information systems and data and towork between various IT systems efficiently and accurately

  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office including Excel andPowerPoint programs

  • Experience with SAP & Hyperion preferred
