Job Title : Manager, Development Finance

Location: Chicago, IL

Reports To : Director, Commercial Finance

Summary:

The Manager, Development Finance will support Target, Costco, Home Center, Grocery & Grey Markets.

Responsibilities :

  • Support the Sales Team to create, own and manage planning, reporting,and forecasting across all customers

  • Operate as an integral member of the Commercial organization involvedin Day-to-Day Impactful Business Decisions and Processes

  • Lead the financial forecasting and evaluation of sales initiativesincluding customer proposals, terms negotiations, events and post eventevaluations

  • Effectively makes decisions on more complex issues, consideringrelevant costs, benefits and risks.

  • Use accounting principles and knowledge of internal controls toprovide objective, timely, and accurate financial information

  • Work with Sales leadership to establish promotional spend strategy anddevelop customer and program level spending details to support the initiationof that strategy

  • Analyze monthly promotional spend actuals by product line to assureSales Finance forecast is aligned with plan, as well as ensure forecastingreflects changes to phasing

  • Work collaboratively with the demand planning team to ensure APOprojection align with Sale LE/Forecast

  • Develop and prepare monthly sales related KPIs and reports to supportbusiness wide performance reviews

  • Perform varied ad hoc analyses on the business across stated strategicpriorities and metrics versus our Plan Assumptions

  • Assist on Customer specific product development (GKM express) asneeded

  • Manage E/O and quarterly hot buy programs with Sales Planning

  • Manage & develop one direct report

  • Ad hoc analytics as needed

  • Undergraduate Degree in Accounting, Finance orEconomics

  • Minimum 7-9 years of experience infinance/accounting

  • Experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) environmentpreferred

  • Exhibits strong personal accountability & attention to detail

  • Comfortable working with and analyzing large amounts of data

  • Articulates views in a clear and concise manner.

  • Ability to connect the bigger picture to day to dayoperations of the organization

  • Ability to learn new financial information systems and data and towork between various IT systems efficiently and accurately

  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office including Excel andPowerPoint programs

  • Significant experience with SAP preferred
