Title: Production Planner
Location: Chelmsford, MA
Primary Purpose of Position:
The Production Planner is responsible for day-to-day production line scheduling, supply and demand analysis and inventory management, focusing on on-time delivery to Customers, efficient production scheduling and maintaining target inventories of sixty days on viable products. The selected individual will also work on different projects assigned by his/her direct supervisor.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Managesday-to-day production planning for their production lines / categories.
ProcessesERP output, schedules shop orders in a timely manner to support demand. o Ensurestarget inventory levels are maintained. o Ensures continuity of supply for allproducts.
Maintainmacro and product line scorecards.
Consistentlyfollows up on issues, open actions and production roadblocks.
Ensuresforward capacity issues are communicated and addressed with preventive actions.
Definesconstraints and potential solutions. o Monitors tooling refurbishment needs,machine capacity and scheduling. o Ensures early warning communications onproduct availability issues to all key stakeholders.
Prepares,analyzes and publishes reports as appropriate.
Responsiblefor data integrity of IFS production planning parameters.
Activelyparticipates in structured problem solving and continuous improvementactivities.
Otherduties as assigned.

- MinimumAssociate’s Degree in Business, Engineering or related field. Two yearsmanufacturing experience.
Experiencewith ERP, MPS, MRP II or other resource planning systems including productionplanning and capacity analysis; experience with IFS preferred.
Capableof coordinating multi-site supply and have the interpersonal skills needed tofacilitate change and improvement.
Excelskills required, such as worksheet creation, maintenance and ability to performVLOOKUP functions.

- Minimumtwo years production planning, materials management or manufacturingexperience.
