Customer Service Representative
We are currently seeking a Customer Service Representative to process orders and handle all customer issues for an assigned group of brokers. Work with Scheduling and Traffic departments to ensure timely release and shipment of all orders. Cover the switchboard on a rotation basis as required.
Essential job functions include:
Enter orders into IFS for a particular group of brokers.
Confirm orders via fax to either broker or customer.
Investigate inquires and resolve problems and assist sales personnel and representatives concerning shipping and product information.
Interact with Traffic, Scheduling and Accounting as needed.
Cover switchboard on a rotation basis for lunch and breaks and other times as warranted.
File customer orders into bin and file room as needed
Process correction credits as needed
File customer quotes as needed
Perform other tasks as assigned by the management team
The successful candidate must have:
High School or GED required 1+ years of customer service experience preferably in a manufacturing environment. Must have excellent data entry, phone skills and knowledge of Word and Excel a plus. Possess excellent verbal and written skills.
