Position Title: Key Account Manager – Pure Fishing

Reports to: Director of Sales

Location: Brantford, Ontario, Canada

The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for managing the customer/category day-to-day operations while delivering sales and profitability targets for their account base. In this role, you will be expected to maximize the availability of our products in the appropriate channels of distribution consistent with our brand strategy with an emphasis on superior new product execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver sales and profitability targets whilemaintaining the highest level of integrity.

  • Build customer relationships at the buyer andsenior buyer levels and facilitates connectivity in other functional areasincluding Marketing, Supply Chain, Communications and Operations.

  • Execute consumer and shopper driven strategiesfor their customers that enable Newell to achieve best in class results.

  • Utilize leading edge data, information systems,and metrics around financial, brand, and shopper trends to maximize marketshare, sales, and profits through price optimization for Newell Brands and ourcustomers.

  • Lead process for managing trade spends/customerprograms in collaboration with trade and finance through management of internalTPM system.

  • May provide analytical and presentation supportfor National Account Managers on larger accounts

  • Lead the Business Segment on the needs of theCustomer.

  • Develop and execute Customer & CategoryStrategic Development and annual operating plan.

  • Negotiates and manages trade funds to createcustomer and company value by consistently measuring and enforcing trade termsand identifying opportunities for improvement

  • Works with demand planning to develop accuratesales forecasts and achieve specified levels of forecast accuracy

  • Monitors the competitors' brands and products aswell as our market share, competitor market share, and target market share tounderstand shopper trends and opportunities and communicating to appropriatesales, trade and brand management

  • Collaborates with trade marketing to provide andexplain market data to the customer

  • Works with trade to implement methods thatassist our customers in effectively and creatively winning with consumers,shoppers, end-users, and purchasers through promotions, packaging andmerchandising.

  • Leverages our brands and product mix to improveprofitability and meet customer, shopper, and Newell Brands target

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors/University degree

  • 3-5 years of sales and/or trade experience.

  • Experience working with $1M+ book ofbusiness

  • Knowledge of fishing highly preferred

  • Demonstrated negotiation and sales ability

  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic andexceptional drive for results

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communicationskills; must be able to present data in an organized manner

  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, andPower Point
