Job Summary

This position is responsible for delivering compelling category growth solutions for our retail customers in alignment with overall business plans and deployed with our national sales team. The role has accountability to help maximize the distribution of existing products and delivery of new product innovations. This role will help drive commercialization through distribution, pricing, promotion and merchandising initiatives across all retail product categories for First Alert. The role of this job is to execute trade strategies and build commercialization programs within a specific retail customer base

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute strategic ecommerce channel pricing and distribution

  • Drive trade investment efficiency based on analysis of promotional effectiveness

  • Understand customer margin and ecommerce channel pricing expectations

  • Analyze and develop customer programming requirements and cost to serve

  • Coordinate and develop content strategies with brand and e-marketing teams

  • Track and analyze impact of pricing structures across the ecommerce channel

  • Support annual trade management planning process relative to area of responsibility

  • Develop go-to-market strategies in existing and new markets, working with Sales, Category, and Division leadership, ensuring that coordination across channels and regions and balancing risk and return

  • Establishes sales targets by customer, collaborating with Sales

  • Develop and manage promotional calendar ensuring all programs are executed on time and within budget

  • Manage and execute product lifecycle and assortment rationalization

  • Analyze and execute optimized assortment strategies across the ecommerce channel

  • Collaborate with brand and shopper marketing teams to build, drive and execute strategic ecommerce activation programs across our customer base

  • Formulate and manage competitive/marketplace intelligence

  • Effectively train and educate national sales team as well as retail customers to ensure efficient and successful utilization of POS material

  • Lead and develop Major Account Reviews (planning, implementation & follow-up)

  • Develop compelling shopper messages in cooperation with Brand Marketing Team

  • Analyze marketing program performance, tracking the success and ROI of each initiative

  • Track & monitor partner accounts’ day to day sales to ensure we’re meeting our sales objectives

  • Develop and execute trade marketing programs, including promotional, educational and event programs, that drive sell-through while maintaining premium brand equity

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree with a major or minor in marketing

  • 3+ years marketing or retail channel experience

  • Experience in category management and channel execution

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft word processing, spreadsheet and database programs

  • Familiarity with ecommerce marketing and selling is a plus

  • Ability to act successfully in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong organizational, communication, collaboration and analytical skills

  • Self-starter driven to achieve results

  • Organized and able to manage multiple projects and large events simultaneously
