Position Title: Trade Marketing Manager

Location: Aurora, IL

JobSummary:

The Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for delivering compelling category growth solutions for our retail customers in alignment with overall business plans and deployed with our customer development organization. The role has accountability to help maximize the distribution of existing products and deliver perfect launches of new products. This role will help drive commercialization through distribution, pricing, promotion and merchandising initiatives across all product categories for First Alert. The role of this job is to execute trade strategies and build commercialization programs within a specific retail customer base.

Responsibilities:

  • Developand execute account/channel pricing and distribution

  • Drivetrade investment efficiency based on analysis of promotional effectiveness

  • Understandsretailer margin and pricing expectations

  • Developchannel/customer promotional pricing and pricing activity in line withprogramming requirements and cost-to-serve

  • CreateP&L analysis to ensure they are within divisional pricing guidelines

  • Analyzesand track potential impact of pricing structure across multiple customerchannels

  • Supportthe annual trade management planning process relative to area of responsibility

  • Alignscustomer planning process with the divisions annual planning calendar

  • Understandsbrand and customer priorities and uses the planning process to drive strategicalignment

  • Aidin the recommendation of SKU assortment priorities and financial guidelines

  • Recommendsassortment mix to maximize sales and profitability

  • Collaborateclosely with shopper marketing team to build, drive, and execute corporatemarketing and merchandising programs with customers

  • Participateand help drive analysis of product health and rationalization

  • Gatherscompetitive and marketplace intelligence

  • Executewithin timelines and deliverables for the division

  • Collaboratewith design team in development of pop and sales materials

  • Customerdatabase oversight and management

  • Participatein select customer meetings as the credible category expert

  • Drivethe execution of new item launch and development of training materials

  • Createcategory selling solutions for our customers

  • Responsiblefor new customers/channels within area of responsibility

  • Createthe development of cross merchandising programs

  • Workclosely with new product development teams on market/opportunity sizing

  • Recommendany new product innovation needs to penetrate new channels/customers

  • Abilityto manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines

  • Abilityto build strong sustainable business relationships at all levels and functions

Qualifications:

  • Degree with amajor or minor in marketing

  • 3+ years marketingor retail channel experience

  • Experiencein category management and channel execution

  • Workingknowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database programs -preferably Microsoft Office including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Familiarity withretail and hardware marketing/selling is a plus

  • Familiarity withecommerce marketing and selling is a plus
