Newell Brands Sales Analyst - Safety and Security in Aurora, Illinois
The Sales Analyst supports assigned customer, categories and brands through providing data analysis and support on customers, merchandising, opportunity and operations. The position requires extensive sales analysis and will interact with many groups across the Customer Development Organization as well as Supply Chain. The analyst will coordinate and lead monthly update meetings with relevant teams.
JobResponsibilities :
Reporting
Runcustomized customer reports to support sales account managers in analyzingcurrent business to include Vendor Performance Scorecards, weekly, monthly andYear To Date POS, Market Basket Data, and sales trends
Maintainstandard reports to track business (Lost Sales, In-stock %, Fill rates, etc.)
Identifyopportunities and improve business with Replenishment team
Diagnosesuccess of promotional activities
Collectand provide weekly sales projections to finance
Supply Chain
Forecasting– comparison of forecasts in customer system vs. actual orders, Work withinternal demand planning team to assess item level forecasts
MonitorPO’s to ensure on-time delivery
Customer Account Support
Back-upfor sales account managers as secondary contact to personnel such as Buyers,Buyer’s Assistants, Replenishment Managers, and Analysts etc.
Assistsales account managers as required, such as create New Item setup, Line ReviewPreparation etc.
Organizeand prepare monthly meetings with sales team reviewing key customers(financials, POS, opportunities, etc.)
Store Walks
Conductregular store walks to:
MonitorIntegrity of planogram
Investigatecompetitive pressures in store
Assesspromotional execution
Participatein new store openings
Conductregular competitive retailer store walks to:
Compile/maintainpricing information
Assesspromotional activity
Qualifications :
Minimum Bachelor's degree
1-5 years of retail sales/channel experience demonstrating steadilyincreasing responsibilities
Experience using retailer data platforms such as DART, POL, andRetail Link
Strong analytical and excel skills
Highly organized, self-starter, able to execute in an ambiguousenvironment
Proven track record of results
Superior communication, presentation and people skills
Strong conflict management/composure skills
Knowledge of Supply Chain, Finance and Marketing a plus
Proficient in Windows Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint. SAPa plus
