Position Title: Senior Manager-North America Benefits Administration

Location: Atlanta, GA

Reports to: VP-Total Rewards

Job Summary:

This position will manage the North America benefit programs, with a focus on Health & Welfare, to ensure that the Company's policies and practices are meeting the needs of the organization. The job will require outstanding analytical and communication skills and quality in the execution of all benefit programs. This position will report to the VP of Total Rewards.

Job Duties:

  • Develop and oversee the strategy, design, and execution of the U.S. and Canada health/welfare, wellness, and other benefit programs to drive desired financial results, talent acquisition, and retention goals

  • Oversee design and delivery of employee communications relating to Benefits

  • Serve as key liaison with external vendors and outside counsel, managing all aspects of the Health and Welfare benefits programs and applicable annual cycle deliverables

  • In collaboration with the external benefits administration vendor and internal HRIS/payroll teams, support world class process capability related to all benefit programs, with a continuous improvement mindset towards benefits operations and delivery

  • Develop and deliver effective, creative, and informed benefit products, services, and training to our HRBPs in their support of business units and internal customers

  • Manage complex benefits issues, plan or policy interpretation and guidance for exceptions, as needed

  • Oversee annual Health & Welfare compliance activities

  • Provide work direction for Sr. Benefit Analyst

  • Influence and build strong, collaborative and effective relationships across all levels of the organization

  • Participate in special initiatives and projects, such as divestitures and acquisitions, as required


  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business or related specialty

  • Candidate should have a minimum of 7 years' experience in benefits related roles

  • Minimum 3 years of experience preferred working with outsourced employee benefits administrator model, including managing project implementation, coordinating activities with payroll, HRIS and H&W carriers, building requirements and testing plans, training customer service center, and managing outsourced vendors on a continuous basis

  • Highly proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and comfortable with benefits financial analyses and modeling

  • Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and possess the ability to articulate and distill complex benefits issues for internal and external communications/audiences

  • Proven project management and organization skills. Strong problem solving abilities and the ability to handle sensitive or confidential information

  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service to employees and internal/external clients

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels in the Company

  • Team oriented, creative, and results-driven

  • Flexible, adaptable and highly proactive

  • Familiarity with retirement benefits (pension, 401(k), retiree medical/life) preferred
