Position Title: Sr. Manager Distribution Transformation
Department: NISCO Distribution and Transportation
Reports To: NISCO Director Distribution and Transportation Transformation
Newell Brands launched the Accelerated Transformation Plan to transform to a simpler, stronger and faster global consumer goods company, with portfolio best positioned to leverage its advantaged capabilities in product design, innovation and e-commerce. To support the Plan and its focus on Supply Chain transformation, the Newell Integrated Supply Chain Optimization team is currently being created. This team will operate as central support across all Newell Divisions. This team will drive the Supply Chain Optimization by identifying and deploying best practices and executing projects in close collaboration with Division Supply Chain teams.
The Sr. Manager will be responsible for initiating and implementing Distribution strategies and action plans in support of continuous improvement and the Company’s strategic objectives. This person will lead distribution work stream projects for Newell Brands.
Essential Duties andResponsibilities :
Act as a change agent to leadchange and innovation within distribution and transportation environments.
Developconsistent and meaningful metrics across entire Newell Brands Distribution network.
Create standards for cost to serve bybusiness and by customer.
Initiate and manage DC process improvements andbest practices driving improved OTIF and key customer and productivity metrics.
Identify, design, and justify automatedprocesses with proper ROI to improve distribution throughput and cost toserve.
ProvideDistribution analysis and educated advice for industry trends andopportunities.
Actas a liaison between NISCO and the business DC Leaders earning trust andinfluencing decisions to enable best practice implementation.
Project managelarge complex initiatives giving direction to team members and leadershipin a matrix environment.
Work withmultiple divisions balancing short term objectives and long termstrategy.
Managemultiple initiatives simultaneously.
Musthave a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Logistics/Supply Chain Management orother relevant degree.
10+ years’ leadershipexperience in a distribution and transportation environment.
Experience leadingcontract engineering teams with proven results.
Proven results inDistribution process improvement.
Ability to lead crossfunctional teams.
Excellent written &verbal communication skills.
Operational Practice usingLean Thinking and Principles.
Proficient with MicrosoftOffice Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Significant travel isrequired.
