Position Title: Senior Financial Analyst
Reports to: Senior Manager, Finance
Location: Atlanta, GA
The Senior Analyst will perform duties related to the monthly financial close, variance analysis, and forecast process as well standard cost support for the North America region of the Baby Division. This role would support a sourced model which relies on a few strategic sourcing partner. This roll performs all of the day to day operations finance activity for the North America Baby Gear business, either directly or by liaising with corporate finance teams (for shared distribution center). The ideal candidate maintains, improves, and utilizes information systems in order to provide timely and accurate financial information with an aim to improve performance or achieve specific goals. This role will report to the Senior Manager Finance, who oversees Global Operations finance for the Baby division.
Month-end close process including journal entries and account reconciliations related to material price variances, import duties, freight, inventory in transit, operational spend, and inventory valuation.
Prepare reserve for shrink, excess and obsolete inventory with input from the appropriate functional teams; also oversee inventory cycle count process
Prepare financial forecast including the budget, outlining underlying assumptions including sales & purchasing volumes, impact of strategic initiatives, import tariff impact, foreign currency exposure, productivity, inflation; align assumptions with key functional partners
Prepare operational financial reporting and variance analysis that is timely and insightful
Develop relationships with key functional partners to understand business drivers to enhance the accuracy of forecast as well as develop business acumen.
Standard cost maintenance in SAP; perform the annual standard cost roll process.
Support capital spending/fixed assets reporting and control
Support internal/external audit requirements on a quarterly/annual basis.
Support ad hoc request from supply chain, finance and other functions as needed.
Undergraduate Degree in Accounting / Finance
2-5 years of experience in finance/accounting; manufacturing, cost or sourcing experience preferred
SAP and Hyperion experience preferred
Ability to work in an organized, detailed manner under tight deadlines
Ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously
Strong proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of other Microsoft Office products
Excellent oral and written communication skills
