Job Title: Senior Analyst-International Tax

Location: Atlanta, GA

Reports to: Manager-International Tax

Job Summary:

The Senior Analyst-International Tax will have the opportunity to play a valuable role in Federal tax compliance for foreign subsidiaries, SEC interim and year-end reporting, and support for international tax planning and strategic initiatives. The Newell Brands Inc. tax group is a dynamic team focused on ensuring accurate reporting and creating value through executing global planning strategies. The Senior International Tax Analyst will work closely with the International Tax Manager and International Tax Director.

Job Duties:

  • Subpart F income, Earnings and Profits and other essential computations.

  • Global Intangible Low-Tax Income (GILTI) and Foreign Derived Intangible Income (FDII) computations.

  • Compile foreign source income and foreign tax data for foreign tax credit calculation.

  • Gather information and coordinate preparation of the Company’s U.S. foreign income tax returns with our co-sourced tax return preparation provider (e.g., Forms 5471,8865, 8858, 1118).

  • Assist in the coordination, communication, and resolution of income tax compliance audits by foreign taxing authorities.

  • Assist the International Tax Manager with maintaining tax attributes to support tax planning strategies.

  • Assist with ASC 740 interim and year-end calculations.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Taxation

  • Master’s degree in accounting or Taxation preferred

  • 3+ years of tax experience in public accounting or industry and 2+ years of international tax experience

  • Experience with ASC 740 reporting

  • Proficiency in OneSource Income Tax and OneSource Tax Provision

  • Proficiency in Hyperion Financial Management

  • Experience with SAP accounting system

  • CPA certification or on plan to obtain CPA certification

  • Desire to develop deep technical expertise and grow within an organization

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team

  • Experience preparing and/or reviewing Forms 5471, 8865 and 8858.

  • Strong Proficiency in Excel

  • Strong oral and writing communications skills
