Job Summary:

The Program Manager II is a key team member of the Program Management Office reporting to the Manager, PMO - Baby. The Program Manager II delivers process execution of identified work streams around increasing PMO efficiency and accelerating new product development processes. In working with the PMO, this individual will be responsible for assisting execution and maintaining project input within 3 of the 4 key areas of NPD Systems:

  • Process (NPD network manual maintenance)

  • Tools (maintain project and portfolio information; assist in identifying project/portfolio tool)

  • Data (maintaining reliable and timely project information)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Independently implement and maintain process projects and work streams that range in complexity.

  • Hold regular reviews with managers to ensure program and project plans are aligned with identified PMO work streams

  • Partner with core PMO team to implement project/portfolio process improvements.

  • Implement standardized guidelines and templates to ensure robust project plans.

  • Execute formal and informal communication methods and cultivate effective communication skills among team members.

  • Use financial information and analysis to support fact-based business decisions.

  • Implement documentation and process data access as required by the network manual NPD process.

  • Motivate project team members and contractors, and influences them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

  • Interact effectively with Design, Brand Marketing, R&D, CMI, and other functions.

  • Develop and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the work streams.

  • Assist in post launch audit output evaluations to recommend advancements for continuous improvement of project execution practices.

  • Develop self as a role model for professionalism and leadership.

  • Recognize, celebrate and reward successes of individuals and of teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or in a related field with equivalent working experience. MBA and/or PMP Certification are preferred.

  • Passion for New Product Development.

  • Consumer products industry experience.

  • 7+ years of experience in project management.

  • 3+ years of experience in leadership role.

  • Experience leading projects and programs with mid-high complexity.

  • Proficient in project management tools such as Microsoft Project and SharePoint.

  • Ability to facilitate relations between business groups and technology departments.

  • Demonstrated familiarity with structured project management methodologies.

  • Experience in deploying project best practices, policies, procedures, and processes.

  • Logical and creative problem-solving and analytical skills required.

  • Data visualization skills / information design capability

  • Possesses influencing skills (leads by example, clearly articulates business cases and interpretation of cause-effect impact).

  • Highly effective organization and planning skills.

  • Demonstrated ability in written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills are required.
