Position Title: Brand Manager - Beauty Styling

Reports to: VP Marketing / GM - Beauty

Location: Atlanta, GA

Job Summary:

This position is a key member of the Beauty Brand Marketing Team, managing assignments and projects to meet strategic objectives for the category. Primary responsibilities at this level include leading cross-functional teams, managing projects, new product execution and commercialization, performing business analysis and tracking, and supporting the overall consumer marketing and management of the brand.

Job Duties:

Consumer and Market Insights

  • Tracks marketingmetrics, such as POS/Market share, distribution, and pricing. Recommendsconclusions and action steps for the brand and business.

  • Supports consumerinsights in executing custom research, including product concept development,developing research materials and methodology, and interpretations of results

Brand Strategy

  • Participates in brandand product strategy discussions and developing consumer targets

  • Works collaborativelywith brand services to execute packaging designs that fit within the MasterBrand hierarchy and global style guide. Works collaboratively to developa creative brief prior to beginning any work.

Innovation and Product Portfolio Management

  • Leads a cross-functionalteam to develop new products following the new product development (CDI)process, including analyzing information to help set the sales forecast andfinancials.

  • Collaboratively workswith cross functional team to develop commercialization plans for new products,including sales materials, samples, and customer specific programming

  • Analyzes consumer trendsand information, and categories to help identify product categories to enter asfuture sources of growth. Analyzes information to supports senior brandmanager in recommending to enter, exit, or maintain product lines.

  • Leads day-to-daymaintenance functions on existing product lines.

Pricing

  • Analyzes market,consumer, and competitive information to support brand manager in setting newproduct pricing and managing price on existing items.

  • Works collaborativelywith channel marketing to monitor competitive pricing information and tracks own-brandpricing. Recommends key conclusions and action steps for the brand andbusiness.

Integrated Marketing Planning

  • Analyzes consumer,category, competition, and channel/customer as part of a situationassessment. Recommends key conclusions.

  • Participates inidentifying marketing objectives, strategies and the operating plan for theupcoming year within current budget

  • Works collaborativelywith marketing communications and external agencies to create marketingprogramming, including writing creative briefs that outline project scope andneeds, and linking across cross-functional groups.

  • Analyzes and providesconsumer, category, and brand information to support channel marketing andsales in category management and sales presentations. Develops productselling materials and samples for internal sales meetings.

Financial Management

  • Analyzes currentperformance, trends, market conditions, and other contributing factors to helpbrand manager in recommending base and stretch revenue goals for upcoming year.

  • Works with channelmarketing and sales to identify programming to generate incremental salesand/or profitability.

  • Works collaborativelywith operations/sourcing to identify and develop productivity initiatives.

  • Works collaborativelywith senior brand manager in development of a 6-18 month S&OP productforecast at the product family level for new and existing products.Participates in S&OP demand agreement meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Four-year college degree

  • 5+ years of marketingand/or general management work experience

  • Experience managing ateam

  • Product and Brandmanagement experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA
