Position Title: Associate Manager, Productivity Funnel

To support the Plan and its focus on Supply Chain transformation, the Newell Integrated Supply Chain Optimization team is currently being created. This team will operate as central support across all Newell Divisions. This team will drive the Supply Chain Optimization by identifying and deploying best practices and executing projects in close collaboration with Division Supply Chain teams.
The Associate Manager will be responsible for driving continuous improvement projects as well as working on cross-functional teams to coach productivity tools and process across Newell Supply Chain. Continuous improvement efforts will focus on making sustainable gains in OEE, quality, safety, cost, and delivery. Methods for achieving and sustaining improvements will be based on Newell PEAK principles including Six Sigma, TPM and LEAN. The team member will need to collaborate closely with the PAC team on improvement methodology, as well as divisions, factory, and other internal partners to achieve the project objectives aligned with the business needs. The team member will be responsible to carry out projects of a broad nature while exercising considerable judgment and creativity. The team member needs to be able to carry out appropriate financial analysis to validate/support proposals and gain support of key stakeholders.
Drive Continuous Improvement & ProductivitySavings Projects
Responsible for identifying, chartering, and leadingsignificant improvement initiatives - delivering the project results on time
Provide project updates to the site leadership teamand project stakeholders highlighting the current status, adherence to theproject time plan, work accomplished, quick wins, points of escalation,elements of risk and the associated mitigation plans
Develop project teams on key skills to driveimprovement
Utilize Newell PEAK tools and methodologies to drivesustainable operational improvements
Analyze given data and operating conditions;implement changes and follow-up on results by involving key responsible people(i.e. sponsor, process owner, operator)
Carry out sustainability programs to maintain theachieved savings, to complete additional training, to detect further savingsopportunities
Professionally challenges current and/or traditional ways of thinking andlead new ways/approaches
The successful candidate must be technically compentent within a supply chain vertical with a willingness to being hands-on and comfortable with tactical execution while working on projects of strategic importance.
Bachelor of Science degree in IndustrialEngineering, Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent degree
1-2 years experience in a manufacturing /warehouse role or in a Central SupplyChain type role with project expierence
